Sigma Delta Tau Eta chapter was founded at the University of Georgia on April 6, 1924 as the fourth sorority established on campus. Over time, Sigma Delta Tau has grown to become one of the strongest forces in the Greek community.
Sisterhood & Leadership
The sisters of Sigma Delta Tau exemplify the main attributes displayed by the five founding members. These include leadership, scholastic achievement, sophistication and campus involvement. These qualities allow us wear our Sig Delt pins with pride.
Philanthropy is one of the most important aspects of life as a Sig Delt at the University of Georgia. Sigma Delta Tau hosts two philanthropies each year. These include Greek Grind in the fall and Treat Yourself in the spring.
